Catherine chose to work in the veterinary field because, as a pet parent, she understands the challenges of bringing pets to the vet, and she wants to help make the experience more comfortable for both pets and their owners. Although she doesn’t have professional experience working with animals, she grew up with two cats and a dog, which provided valuable personal experience. One memorable early experience was comforting her dog Riley after they had surgery, which led to an interest in and passion for animal care. Catherine aims to make every client and patient feel welcome, heard, and comfortable. She lives by the mantra, “Always be kind.” Catherine comes from a large and loving family and is especially close to her immediate family, which includes her parents, siblings, boyfriend, and pets. Her pets mean everything to her, providing comfort and companionship through life’s ups and downs. Catherine recently moved to Oakland and joined GLVH because of the positive environment and welcoming staff. She is originally from Los Angeles, attends San Francisco State University, loves the ocean, and enjoys playing cards and reading.
