Zaria (she/her)
Veterinary Assistant
Zaria brings both academic knowledge and hands-on experience to her role at GLVH, having majored in Animal Science at UC Davis. Her dedication to animal care began in 2020 when she worked at a lab while in school, caring for domestic pigeons and assisting with research. She has since expanded her experience by volunteering at the International Bird Rescue, where she assists with medical check-ups and care for aquatic birds. Zaria’s deep appreciation for wildlife and domestic animals drives her commitment to giving back to the animal community. At home, she shares life with her parents Shinura and Malik, sisters Olivia and Aubrey, and their beloved dog Bubba – who started as the “wildest, most slobbery dog at the shelter” but became her trusted best friend and protector. Zaria was drawn to GLVH by the supportive staff and their clear pride in their work. She focuses on ensuring every client feels heard and leaves with confidence in their pet’s care plan.
