Yani
Client Service Representative
Yani Marquises brings a heart full of compassion and a deeply personal reason for joining the veterinary field. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her own dog, she was moved by the kindness and empathy shown by the emergency veterinary staff—and knew she wanted to give that same comfort and support to others. Her goal is simple but powerful: to make sure every client and patient feels understood, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Yani lives by the motto “Treat others how you want to be treated,” and carries that philosophy into every client interaction. She wants pet parents to see her as someone they can trust with their beloved animals—someone who truly gets it.
At home, Yani lives with her parents and is currently caring for her best friend’s cat, Rumi, while her friend transitions to new housing. She also has a rescued leopard gecko named Smolls, who has overcome neglect and now thrives under Yani’s loving care. Her pets, past and present, are everything to her—they are innocent, resilient souls who deserve the best from us, and she’s committed to giving them just that.
Drawn to Grand Lake Veterinary Hospital by its high standards and genuine warmth, Yani knew after her first visit that this wasn’t just another clinic—it was a place where people and pets are truly valued. She’s excited to bring her empathy, heart, and (hopefully) a few laughs to the GLVH team.
