Lena

Veterinary Assistant

Lena brings a heart full of compassion and a mind eager to learn to her new role in veterinary medicine. Inspired by her late mother’s love for animals and her own lifelong bond with pets, Lena feels deeply called to serve as an advocate and caretaker for animals—and to educate others on their needs.

Though Lena is new to the field professionally, she brings years of real-life experience from raising large breed dogs and a Maine Coon cat. This background gives her insight into reading body language, managing temperament, and fostering safe, respectful interactions.

Her goal with every client and patient is to provide comfort, calm, and clear communication. She understands how stressful veterinary visits can be and strives to be a reassuring presence for both pets and their families.

Lena lives by the words of Winston Churchill: “If you’re going through hell, keep going” and “Failure is not final.” These mantras shape her resilient and optimistic approach to life. She’s excited to grow alongside the supportive, tight-knit team at GLVH and is honored to continue a legacy of animal care that began with her mother.
