Nia (she/her)
Veterinary Assistant
Nia’s deep-rooted love for animals and fascination with animal medicine led her to pursue veterinary-related studies at Chico State, with a focus on livestock, farm animals, and disease prevention. Her favorite subject—domestic animal physiology and anatomy—sparked a lasting curiosity that she carries into her work every day.
With a strong belief in being a compassionate advocate, Nia strives to ensure every client and patient feels heard, supported, and truly cared for. Her goal is to be the calm, reassuring presence she once wished for during her own veterinary experiences.
Nia shares her life with her brother Nate, her loving mother NeCole and stepfather Mike, and their mischievous poodle, Felony. Her late dog Polo, a source of emotional support and inspiration, continues to motivate her journey in animal medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Nia enjoys drawing, painting, and teaching herself how to roller skate. Her personal mantra is “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” a philosophy that keeps her moving forward with courage and creativity.
